test programs

Okay, I know when you OC the processor, you have to run prime95 or something to test for stability.
Well I want to overclock the graphics card, but how would I test stability? Is there a specific program to do it? right now I have it a 750 core and 2000 memory, but not sure how much farther to push it.

Try FurMark to test for stability and temps http://www.ozone3d.net/benchmarks/fur/ and you can use GPU-Z to look at info about your card too http://www.techpowerup.com/gpuz/

does this mean that it is stable? would it be safe to try 2050 and 800?

I'm not sure Wolfe, I've never overclocked a GPU before really. I'd wait until you hear from somebody more knowledgeable about this than myself.

Temps seem OK, 95C max is OK.

ran it at 800/2050 and it ran okay. Im gunna try 850/2100 in a bit after it cools down to mid 60s again.

Try EVGA's OC Scanner and Precision X.

I will not use precision X, but downloaded oc scanner and got no errors, max temp was 90*. Seems like it is stable enough at stock volts with 850/2100, thats like 150 over stock. Should help the folding along some. Not worried about games as they are all running stable and maxxed at stock anyway.

You could use Futuremark or MSI Kombuster.

I set it back to stock because FAH was running strange with teh OC. But thanks for the recommendations
