TF2/CS:GO Artifcats

Has anyone seen this before? This is happening on my new rig. I already tried deleting the game content and re-downloading it, but it didn't help. This only seems to happen in Source games like TF2 or CS:GO. BioShock Inifite, Crysis 3, work fine.

What sort of servers are you playing on?

I know both games have updated recently (last few days) so maybe the update is causing the issue. Has it been doing it since you got this computer?

I've only played on Lotus clan servers, so I'll try some others as well. Denter, yes it's been happening ever since I got it last week.

I would try

checking temps
changing drivers
changing game settings
verify game cache
re-install steam
re-install game
re-mount card
re-mount card HS
reformat

Kind of in that order.

The fact that Crysis 3 and BioShock Infinite work with no issues leads me to believe it's not temps or Windows, but I could still try reinstalling the drivers.

Them artifacts to me look extremely weird, I wouldn't expect a struggling GPU to produce a perfect image, but include a mess like that inside it. It's almost like a server corruption or some strange new server mod.

When it next happens ask the other players whether they can see it too

Can you test any other games that are not using DirectX? CS:GO and TF2 use the same game engine right?

Lotus clan servers have been fine for me, I was on one earlier today.

Enable console and see what errors it throws up.
