TFT or HDTV

I would like to buy a high definition screen 22" to 26") for my
xbox-360-logo-1.jpg
Xbox360 , but I'm unsure weather I should buy a HDTV or a TFT monitor ?

What are your opinions on this?

Also I would like to know if I can obtain 1080p equivalent from a TFT Screen?
 
I have used my LCD computer monitor as my X360 screen and I can say that it looks better on our 32" HDTV, the monitor (Hanns-G 19"w) shows less detail IMO.

but both of those screens are completely different sizes and both are outside the size range im looking for.
don't you think that the loss in size might bring on the drop in detail ?

i was thinking a TFT because it will be cheaper but i don't really want to drop quality
so i would still probably get a Samsung TFT

i really need help on this one cause i don't know much about screens

and the people in the shops are ether useless or just want to sell me the most expensive one :(
 
1080p has a resolution of 1920x1080, if you get a monitor that's lower then that then it won't actually be running 1080p. I'm not sure if it would just convert to 720p or the closest resolution to 1080p though.

actually any screen recommendations wouldn't go a miss :)
 
thats a sweet price on that screen but unfortunately im in the uk and
newegg is useless to me
till we get one *hopes*
