The speed of a browser? lolz. If I could select all, I would. They each have their own uses. Each one having its own advantage. It's great to see that you have much time in your life to test browser speeds! Also, IE 9 is in beta.

So is opera 11.01, thats why 11.00 scored higher. I like ie9 interaface, and chromes simplicity, and firefoxs customizability + private browsing.

Nah nah chrome is "the fastest" as it's lightweight and doesn't include plugins or add-ons or any other data adding programs inbuilt into the browser to essentially slow it down.

I guess you didnt try opera turbo mode then? I went from Firefox (pipelining was cool), to chrome (light weight as stated above) and now to opera, by far opera is better, fyi the tests where done without operas turbo mode on, but firefox's pipelining was on.

FF -or any other browser for that matter- doesn't include any plugins, you still have to get them yourself. Chrome can be faster, but on ancient machine in my sig it tends to be more sluggish than Firefox.

I am now benching the new IE9 beta which just came out today, the new opera 11.01 (stable, I benched the beta before), and il also be benching firefoxes new beta v4.0b11, and operas new beta 11.10, and chromes v9 which came out a week ago.
FINISHED, Chrome v9 made a comeback, but opera still stayed king with its new beta version.

I would use Chrome only if there was an option to disable the download bar popping up. This is one of the most requested features and Google still hasn't done anything about it?

I guess you should try opera then, it looks nice and has alot of different plugins (though not as much as firefox) but if you the private browsing feature Id get firefox, but opera has a turbo mode feature (basicaly picture and file compression + pipelining), the turbo mode is good for slow to moderate computers (kinda useless on faster computers). So its up to you.
