The Best Cpu

As of right now, the Athlon 64 FX-62 is the best CPU.

Within a few weeks, that title is going to be going to the Intel Core 2 Duo X6800.
 
Well the best desktop CPU would be the FX-62, and the Intel PEE 3.73Ghz. However on July 24ish, the Intel Core 2 Duo x6800 will be the best.
 
that intel isnt bad exept the price is going to be $999 or thats what the site says...

they already did....
prices are down now... and will go lower after Conroe comes out

Then what's going to stimulate people to buy them? Why spend $1100 on an FX-62 when you can spend $500-600 on a E6700 that blows it away??? AMD will have to drop the price on the FX-62...
 
well depends if they fix there front side bus problem if not the fx62 might stand a chance and besides its not liek amd is gonna stand by and get blown away i bet they have something cooking at the moment they just havent said anything yet because they wana see intels new BADBOY snd what it is all about

I think he means simply the most commonly thought of...fastest/best cpu you can get at common online and offline retail stores. That would probably have to go to the FX-62 currently. Kind of a "you know what I mean" sort of deal. Lol you technical bastage Praetor. I am probably considered very technical myself, so I know how that goes.
 
Amd might not be dropping their prices on the fx's because those procs are the only ones that are going to supports 4x4. Who knows what amd has up their sleve? Nothing? I hope not.
