The best way to make a complete backup image

Hey guys, what do you think is the best way to make a complete back up of windows? You know the way HP and Compaq and people like that do, were you just whack a cd in and it wipes everythhing and starts off fresh again, with all the drivers and software and documents still there?
I would like the software to be able to split the backups into dvd sized chunks and be really simple to use. Any thoughts?
