All I need to know what is the best mobo out that will be good for over the top gaming, surfing and for school also.

Spec.
AMD Athlon 64 3200+ Venice
2x Western Digital Raptors 74gb
not sure about the video card but maybe XFX Geforce 7800GT
and memory I know at least 1GB of something I dont know
sound card not sure
DVD-ROM and CD-RW
PS: PC power & cooling 510w

If you have a better setup then this feel free to show.
Oh just before I forget im spending about $2000 on this
And im doing water cooling if that helps

Well, DFI Ultra-D NF4 is great for stock and i would argue the best for overclocking on s939. It's also got SLi capabilities if you get the right board.

I love my DFI, but the MSI K8n Neo4 Platinum SLI is also quite good from what I've heard and read. It's also quite a bit more expensive.

Any of the aforementioned mobo's would be fine (the fatal1ty is a waste of money however). As for the rest of the machine ditch the raptors and get some SATA 7200RPM drives. And what is the amperage (on the +12v line) on that PSU?

it is only a wast if u dont sli and dont use it

because i have it and it it the best thing ever

plus the u guru is the coolest thing it tell cpu speed, fan speed, volts ,and temp

eh, i like the abit boards.but it seems to me the fatality ones dont have enough slots? or is it just me?

oh, and i would get only one raptor, use it for os and progams, and get a 200gig hd for files and music.....

The Fatal1ty boards are just all fancied up, there is nothing overly special that could not be added to any other board by yourself.

well its not like its a bad borad i love the thing and i got it on sell for $180 so i went for it so dont think im stupid for buying a $220 mobo ok

I didn't say you were, all I'm saying is if a Fatal1ty board is being considered, you can find similar features on a less expensive board and add the extra LEDs, OETS cooling, etc yourself.

but y not get that mobo for $180 right and this was my 1st computer that i have ever built so i dont know how to do that stuff

and what other boards are u saying to get in stead of the fatal1ty

Well the Fatal1ty A8N:
NVIDIA® nForce4 SLI chipset
AMD Athlon 64/64FX 939 CPU support
4GB DDR 400
Dual OTES™
µGuru™ 2003
µGuru Panel™
Copper Chipset Cooler
OTES SLIpstream™
AudioMAX 7.1 Technology

And a K8N Neo4
NVIDIA® nForce4 SLI chipset
AMD Athlon 64/64FX 939 CPU support
4GB DDR 400
SB Live 7.1 Onboard audio
MSI's Version of Software Overclocking and Updating

All you are missing is the copper chipset heatsink the OETS system, and the LEDs they put on the board.
