The computer used to have 2 HDs, one - with the operating system, the second one - with the files. I have disconnected and removed the HD with the files, the second HD with the operating system is remained. Motherboard and other details are in the attached pictures.
OS - Windows 10
Power Supply - Corsair CX 600
Mother Board - ASUS M5 A97

Anything happen lately like a power outage? Have you replaced any hardware? Try plugging in both 4 pin cpu power connectors.

For this post I am assuming that you have not recently assembled the system or changed anything internally. If you have, check to make sure you remembered to reconnect the power button and that it is in the correct pins. It is easy to mess up those pins.

If the PSU does not spin up, it is probably the PSU.
If the PSU kicks on, do not rule it out as a problem, but move on to the next most obvious thing. Do the motherboard fans spin up? How about the case fans? If those fans don't spin up, it's likely your motherboard.

I don't think it's a drive issue or you'd probably be describing something different...but just to confirm, you're not getting *anything* on the screen, are you?

Do you have a speaker installed in this system (within the case, no desktop speakers?) If you don't, try installing one and listening for beeps. The beeps will be a series of long and short beeps and pauses. The motherboard manual with tell you what the beep pattern means.

I'm seeing massive layers of dust, like on half the RAM stick in picture #4.
Something could easily have, or is actively, shorted.
