That's pretty much my budget.

I have an Asus M2n-sli deluxe mobo, and I had issues with that ram. I have read on reviews on newegg and Asus forums that the OCZ DDR2 800 does not run well on AM2 boards. Alot of people are waiting for a bios update from Asus, but that may b far away. I got fed up with the problems and went with Corsair XMS and now my pc runs perfect.

That's strange, I've heard some people say the OCZ DDR800 Ram has poor quality on AM2 mobos and others say it works fantastically, I'm on 28k right now and don't wanna go looking up the threads, would you mind linking me to one of them?

Hmm. You can get a much better performer for the same or less money, so I have no idea why you chose AMD, but if you must it looks ok. As has been mentioned not sure about the RAM.

Can you suggest a Mobo + CPU (C2D) combo that will cost the same or less and won't require me to change any of my other parts if it's not too much trouble?
