The functions of F8 when you starting up windows

When you press F8 and I have to press it a lot, is that normal?

But when I finally get in I am given lots of options-

safemode

safemode with networking

safemode with command prompt

enable boot logging

enable VGA mode

last known good configuration

directory services restore mode

debugging mode

start windows normally

reboot

return to OS choices menu
 
depending on your system that seems normal. And generally, yes it does take about 3 or more taps on the key to get into safemode, because you never know exactly when it'll be detected.
 
As he said, it's pretty normal. Even when I want to enter the BIOS, I repeatedly press the DEL key until it loads the BIOS.
