The future of the technology industry

As the title says I want to know how much do you think computers and the industry as a whole will change over the next 5-6 years?

I think the technology industry will be the one industry that strives through the tough economic times that we are facing. Technology gets better and better everyday

I don't think it's that noone thinks about it but that noone can really guess where we will be. Technology advances so fast. My guess for the future would have to be maybe the discovery of how to produce holographic images and the abilty to literally immerse yourself in a 3d enviroment for consumers. I am sure within 10 years we will start seeing something like this:
