Hey guys, this is a thread for all of you guys who have these amazing boards (any GIGABYTE P31/P35 board) to post anything you want to say about them. Since they are so similar, I would also like for us to include our stable overclock configurations so that maybe other people can have a look and get an idea on where to start.

Feel free to include anything about these pieces of art!

P35-DS3L

E2160 @ 2.7GHz

Multiplier = 9
FSB = 300
vCore: BIOS = 1.35v █ CPU-Z = 1.312v
SPD = 3.33

RAM @ 1000MHz (stock 800MHz)
Timings = manually 5-5-5-15

And as a side note, this motherboard is clearly the way to go if you don't have the $ for the newer x38/x48.

;)

P35-DS3L

E8400 @ 3.85GHz

Multiplier = 9
FSB = 428
vCore: BIOS = 1.35v | CPU-Z = 1.312v

DDR2 Voltage = 2.1v
RAM @ 856MHz
Timings = 4-4-4-12

If I had a better batch, I'm positive I could go higher. This board boots fine @ 500FSB.

Me too, I got a weird batch, I'm sure I could've done 3.2GHz on this mobo...

Haha ^ a little off-topic, you frickin got 11.953 on the SuperPI, congratz!

Thanks, that was my old 24/7 clock. I wanted to run less voltage since Texas heat is coming so I dropped down to 3.85.

P35-DS3

E8400 @ 3.00 (It will boot unstable at 3.6 on stock volts but my RAM's faulty! :mad:)

Multiplier = 9
FSB = 333
Vcore= 1.15

DDR2 Voltage = stock 1.8
Mhz = @ 800
Timings = 5-5-5-15

I should be calling in the warrenty on the RAM next week when I have time.

i overclocked my pentium D with my P31-DS3L

4 ghz :D

which is good for a pentium D i think haha cos they run pretty hot
but with my new zalman 9700 it was on 45-50*C idle
voltage was 1.3ish

LOVE THIS BOARD!!!!!!!!!!!!! hate my PSU!!!!!!!!!!!! Can u guys tell my why when i first got it, i could over clock to 2.7 fine, and now i cant overclock farther than 2.5? It's my s**tty psu, right?

Yeah that could be it, what's the wattage? how many amps on the 12v+ rail?

Anyways we're getting off-topic, PM me if you want... :P

I took my old 'Big D' to 4.2Gh on this Board a few months back. Currently running an E4500 at 2.7Gh without changing anything. Maybe I'll try for higher one day. I love everythign about this MoBo.

WOOO :D
i havent even looked at the OC features on this board, and i dont plan on OCing my e4500 until i get my hands on an aftermarket cooler :)
Zalman 9700, anybody?

P35-DS3L

E2200 @ 3.31GHz

Multiplier = 10
FSB = 331
vCore: BIOS = 1.48v █ CPU-Z = 1.456v
SPD = 3.00
