Yup! I just got accepted to work at Baptist hospital/Wake Forest University :D Right now it's only a summer job, but as they were talking, I should be able to work over breaks and probably the next summer. If all works out, I should be there...well, the rest of my life. I'm excited :D
 
Cool! I'm cleaning houses for $9-13/hour. Not bad work, ~$200-300 a week if I can work 4-5 days a week.

Anyway, I don't really know how much I'll be making, but honestly I'm just happy to have a job there, period. I mean, I don't know if you guys realize the potitial of working at this hospital! It's the largest employer around here, great pay(well, later on) benifits, etc etc...

As for current pay, someone did mention something along the lines of $8-$9 an hour starting out, which is fine, I don't need money... Now I did make $10 at my previous job(and later was offered $25 an hour when all the techs quit :rolleyes: ) But, yeah.... HAPPY! :D
 
At my age $9/hour is plenty, as long as you're still having your parents pay for food and shelter. With my budget I can take care of insurance, gas, clothes, and basic essentials and still be able to save some at the end of the month. I'd be screwed if I was paying water, electric, rent, food, etc.

I'm glad you enjoy your job. This is the first job I've actually enjoyed as well. My previous job I dreaded going to, and hated it until I could go home. no fun at all.
 
Congratulations, i for one know how hard finding a job can be. I spent over 6 months looking for one and then i found one at an acer repair centre (its not as good as it sounds trust me).
I'm using my current job as a stepping stone for something else; i applied for a job last night that offers training leading towards becoming a MSCE... it would be nice to get that
