The Lucas's 8th rig-EDC08

i'm not sure here but it looks like the 4GB ram is just one stick? hence no dual channel you will either want 2x2 GB or the 8GB kit, id say go with 8GB, although way more than you need, as long as money is not a problem why not?

Personally id change the following:

Ram...get a set with better timings, and just get 4GB for now...you could always get another 4gb at a later date.

Id change the GPU to a Radeon HD 6950 2GB and do 6970 flash.

what is the IDE/Sata adapter for?
My IDE hard drives that contain my files. The board I picked doesn't have an IDE controller, so I gotta have something to transfer them with other than across a 100 Mbps LAN :P

You're right about the RAM. I can upgrade later if need be.
I guess 2 TB isn't needed, but I'd definitely want 1 TB. Updated my post.
I'm not sure if flashing the GPU is something I'm comfortable with, and another thing is that those rebates expire soon and I won't have the money until about April/May. Of course I may have to update my list by then, or the parts will be lower priced. IDK.
