The Missing Screenshot Mystery

I have a Huawei Mercury phone with an Android OS. Downloaded a file and went to the gallery to view the video. Lo and behold the screenshot is missing. So I checked the downloaded file section and see that the file was there and opened the video from that section (nice video btw).

What I would like to do is get a screenshot of that video into my video gallery using the file from the downloaded files section. Can this be done and how? (I hope I posted this problem in the right forum)

Thumbnails for videos are generated automatically, so no, it can't be done manually.

If this file were copied to disk/drive, does that mean the thumbnail would still be missing?
(I'm going to try redownloading the file to see if I can get a screenshot set up)

I think what you're saying is that you want to be able to access the downloaded video from your video gallery, right?

What you need to do is get the downloaded video into the same folder that the videos in the gallery are in. There are lots of free file manager programs available for Android that would do this, or you could take the memory card out and plug it into a computer and do it that way.
