the most weird comptuer problem !!!!

this one is a good one that im stumped, my best friends computer brand new computer i should mention, all the sudden turned off, i went over and checked to make sure 1. he had enough voltage from the wall, 2. i checked to see if his PSU was bad, and 3. i checked all other hardware.
How did i check, i plugged in all his components into another PC including his PSU which works fine. i evenchecked his power button on his PC, that works fine, i have no clue what this can be, anyone??

it cannot be the PSU as it works fine, the power button works fine on his aluminum case, and the wall outlet is giving off enough power to power other things such as a TV. so what in the world can it be?

It could possibly be the motherboard or processor giving you problems. Symptoms that a motherboard or processor is failing can appear as:

The system begins to boot up but then powers down
An error message displays during the boot. Investigate this message.
The system becomes unstable, hangs or freezes at odd times
Intermittent Windows or hard drive errors occur
Components on motherboards or devices connected to it don't work

I say next time the error happens look to your event viewer.

Next time the computer crashes do the following right after reboot:

Go to your Control Panel

Click on "Administrative Tools"

Click on "Event Viewer"

Click on "Windows Logs"

Click on "System"

Look for a red icons with exclamation points

Copy the details of the error codes (if there is more than one) and paste here on the website
