A single core p4 with extensive voltage and hardware mods.
A quad core has four on die cores, which is considerably more heat than a single core, and so far none of these boards have been tampered with. the boards are also early boards and reference models, none are AM3 even.

What does a P4 have to do with this?

Comparing a P4 with a quad core with new architecture and higher speeds clock-for-clock is beyond irrelevant.
