I don't think I'll be following this trend. I never got into the Red Alert series.

How does it work...cause i got a friend who I'm sure would give me the game but he's also already played it online.

He doesnt play anymore. Would he be able to give me the game? Would i log into his account or could i make a new one?

dont think its LIKE the newer games, i think he can definitely give it to you and ull be able to play it

I just found both my RA2 CDs and the Yuri's Revenge CD, now to install and patch 'em up.

the install is super fast and the patching too. just remember to go to 'custom match' first or it wont work.

just re-installed the first decade. i never installed it after i got my new HD...but now i have a reason to play

how did you make it so you dont have to log in at the internet screen?

click the button that says 'auto login with this account'

I couldn't get Yuri's Revenge to work online, have yet to try with just RA2.

EDIT: By the way, if anybody wants to use resolutions over 1024x768 you can edit either the ra2.ini (Red Alert 2) or ra2md.ini (Yuri's Revenge) with Notepad. Just change the values, this is what it looks like when you first open it (after you've run the game once, default values might differ depending on if you've changed the resolution in the options):

I changed it to be the same as my desktop resolution:

I should soon be able to run it at 1680x1050 when my new monitor arrives.

Yeah Online doesn't work for me either.

I'm doing single player, which is harder than the Red Alert 2 CDs... I'm currently playing on Trick or treaty where you have to defend the Big Ben in UK.

I cannot connect to the online gaming in any mode.

I have a router and I'm connected wirelessly. It says it can't find the connection...

it could be that Yuris revenge is no longer supported online. I remember playing when I first got it and no one would even play with you if you played as Yuris army and that was bcak on the Westwood servers! I didnt install it this time around, so maybe try not installing Yuris revenge.

RA2 online should work, at least I have had zero problems with it.
