Hey guys I am sure this has been asked (couldn't find it though) so I thought id ask. I also did some google searches but almost every thread was mixed.
I am a mid entry gamer...I don't require a ungodly monitor and maxed out Crysis but currently my old LCD died and I am looking to upgrade. CRT generates WAY to much heat too
I wanna make sure most games support the resolution as well. Mind you I only upgrade once a year on GPU or so...so it has be able to last me as well.
My thoughts are these
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16824009151
vs

1440x900 vs 1680 x 1050
Due to me being mid level what would be the better resolution to play with?
This is based off my 8800GT.
In a few months I will pick up a GTX 285 once the price drops some more.
If you can give me game settings examples that would work too.
Thanks.
