But I was wondering..with the things I listed up there, is there a certain Watt power I need for that build? Is there some sort of calculation? The power supply watt on the one I picked out is 650W and I was wondering if that was okay. I don't want too much because price is a factor. Just wondering if 650 was good enough for that build. And if anyone has a PSU suggestion that isn't too pricey I'm welcome to ideas too. Thanks.

I looked at your hardware...not a bad set up. The 650w PSU will be more than enough, everything will run fine. I have tons of stuff running from a 650w PSU in my computer with no issues.

What is you budget for this build?

There are a few things I personally would change. Here is the newest Quad Core from Intel, the 2.5GHz Q8300. It is a littler cheaper than the Q6600 and will run a little more efficient. You will have to see if they have a BIOS that can support it for that motherboard but it might be something to consider. If you plan on overclocking the crap out of your system...the proven Q6600 might be the way to go. 45nm Quads running at the same speed of 65nm Quads run about 4-8% better in benchmarks. MAXIUMPC did a head to head of 45nm vs. 65nm last summer and they saw those numbers across the board with all comparisons.

Oh, thanks for the suggestion I will get the Q8300. I am trying to budget this system under <$1000 which happened to come out with the Q8300 barley above $1000. I don't plan to overclock anything.

The PSU you've chosen is awesome. It's over 80% efficient and works cool like a charm. I have the 850W one, way over what i need but i got it on a deal for less than a 650W one...not gonna pass that off :P .

I have a friend who has the same PSU, he is comfortably running 2 video cards in crossfire, intel quad extreme, 8GB of RAM (4x2GB), 4 HDD, a blu-ray drive and a DVD reader/writer on a 650W comfortably, so you should be ok
