The thousand dollar rig

hey guys...

on a tight budget. This would be my second build...my first build went
REALLY REALLY well, and it has been possibly the most reliable PC I've ever
owned. I'm selling it and building a new system from the ground up.
I've got a mouse and keyboard I love, but tell me about the rest.
Two things namely:

What components could I do better on?
and
Is all this compatible?

So far it all looks pretty schnazzy to me.
I would use it for slightly older shooters (Unreal, CS, Crysis, blah blah)
and CS3.

The old rig is a Conroe E6300, 2GB Mushkin, Rosewill power supply,
and a BFG 8800 GTSOC with 640mb RAM.
I really like the old unit, did well for me.

Will this new one really kick A compared to the old one?

Looks good except for the Rosewill PSU, get something say, 600-700W from Antec, OCZ, etc..

You could delay on the LCD and buy a Q9550 and a larger HDD instead, just a thought

You could also skip the LCD and get a Core i7 for a grand,
including the OS.

$957.92 after rebates

Hey guys thanks for the ideas!

unfortunately, I HAVE to get an LCD as I have no monitor...I'm selling
the whole kit and kaboodle to a pal of mine. I'm keeping the mouse
and keyboard, but the rest goes to him in a few hours.
I currently have a Rosewill PSU, but I'm open to others and I may reconsider it.
Also, I am curious to know if I could do better on my RAM and Mobo.
I currently use Mushkin RAM and I really do like it, but again, I am open to
better things.
thanks again!
