The Ultimate Laptop

Hey everyone.

I am thinking of purchasing a laptop...but i mean business. I will spend $30 000 if i have to - i'm talking a seriously beef'd out machine. I understand to have the best processors it will be virtually not portable, but that's what im after - a desktop replacement.

I will be using it to code programmes and i will be downloading some serious software (i'm talking hundreds).

What i want you people to help me with is the specifications. Tell me what you would want in your dream laptop. I want the fastest and biggest specs you can possible cram into a laptop. We're talking QuadCore processors here everyone.

Now, i am a big fan of Alienware, so if you could get it through Alienware somehow, that'd be much appreciated.

I want a list of all accessories to go with the laptop also (carry cases, bags, cords, addapters, after-market batteries, coolers). The lot!

the intel core 2 duo or core 2 quad are like the best processors ever, the fastest so they will be great for downloads

your going to want quad core processor somewhere between 4 and 6 gigs of ram of possibly ddr3 and a great graphics card or cards in sli or crossfire.

Alienware isn't that great but what ever works for you is great

You can get a Dell precision 6400 with a QX9300,16GB mem,1GB video, and dual HDD in RAID. Can't ask for much more out of a notebook.

Good choice on an Alienware! The M17x is a good laptop, can be maxed out + accessories for under 30 grand. Dual 9800M GT's, 17" 1920x1200 res, Not quad, but an intel core 2 extreme @ 2.8 ghz, 8GB ram, 1TB raid 0/500gb raid 1, Blu ray burner, at $5500.

i would recommend a sager NP9262 upgradable to a q9650 desktop processor(quad), and sli'd 9800gtx's

I would recommend Mac for the software but your most likely in a Permanent death road of Windows so what about those maxed out Sagers or Voodo.
