How do i get my processor off of my heatsync, it's from a dell computer and dell decided to be smart and glue the processor to the heatsync with thermal adhesive.
get a cotton and soak it in alcohol, put a few drops between the HS and CPU , twist the cpu from side to side but dont force it, if that doesnt work, get a cutting blade and pry it(between cpu and HS) but be very carefull.
If they used that ceramic adhesive....then I am very certain that it is almost impossible to remove. They even warn you that once you use it...you will not be able to remove it. I think this may be the case.
