Thermal Paste

It will have some thermal paste on the bottom of the CPU, which should be fine, as long as you have good ventilation for the CPU.

New Arctic Cooler Pro 7 already have thermal paste applied.

By the way, Arctic cooling MX-2 is better than AS5

maybe in the future buy some and reapple, but for now, it should be fine.

Freezer 7 Pro already with pre-applied MX-1 / MX-2 Paste...

If its a retail version it will have a paste pad and a hs/fan. Arctic silver is best though.

If its a cheaper, OEM version it will just be the CPU itself.

I did sign up seeing how busy this place is and how many replies there're =]

So, even though the CPU is OEM not Retail, some of you are saying that it will have paste and others saying it'll be on the Cooling Fan instead? Not sure if any think it's Retail or not ... it's just I'm new to self builds and don't really know much about PC parts ... :/

Well kalniel on the TDU forum has said the Cooler will come with it applied anyway and I trust him so we'll see how it goes =]

"That cooler comes with it preapplied. You just remove the plastic sheet and plonk it on. It'll cool well enough straight away, but a couple of weeks of use later and the compound tempers so the cooling will improve further."

He's right, as I had that cooler as well.
