just got my new system loaded up with windows so...im wandering if these temps look ok?

Pc Wizard:
CPU temp: 50*c
Core 1: 41*c
Core 2: 44*c

SpeedFan:
CPU: 50*c
Core: 37*c

Seems kinda high to me?

Ok, that exactley was an answer to my question, I thought that you just said exactly for no reason and that kof2000 answered for you...

Doh'

:D:D

I can't remember what an ideal temp is for the X2 range of CPU's, but as long it isn't going into the 60's, you should be ok. Anything higher than that, and you're in trouble ;)

Do you have a custom heatsink? Or are you using the stock one?

Edit:

Check your BIOS for the most reliable temperatures.

They aren't that bad, but what are the load temps like?

Download Core Temp, it will give a pretty accurate reading :)

Ok, will do...im not sure what the load temps are. But when i get done gaming speedfan reads:
Cpu: 50-51*c
Core: 45-47ish *c

The cpu seems to never leave 50 but on idle core goes down to 38-40*c according to speedfan

Edit: on idle Bios read CPU being 38-40*c, And core temp dont seem to work on vista x64

55c is well within the operating limits of that chip, so I don't think you should worry about it. :)

I said it was alittle high earlier because I wasn't sure of the average temps of an X2, but as people have said it's alright.

Thats alittle hot but nothing to worry about, get you a better aftermarket cooler and try to improve the air flow in your case
