Think I Will Notice A Difference?

If i upgrade from an athlon 64 3400 to an AMD Athlon 64 FX-55 San Diego 2.6GHz 1MB L2 Cache, do you think i will notice a big difference in gameplay? is this a good processor, im buying brand new from a friend for 125.00
 
It's only a 400Mhz difference I believe, so not really, you wont really notice a difference. But if you overclock the FX-55, then you deffinetly will.

I would recommend a dual-core if you want a significant improvement however.

If I,m not wrong the 3400 was only 2.2ghz, so the FX-55 would be 400mhz faster and it has unlocked X plus twice the L2. So I say you would notice a difference. You can get a X2 4400 OEM for about 180 bucks now.
