Thinking about upgrading my graphic card

Hi,

I am thinking about upgrading my graphic card and would like to know if this is an upgrade on my current card.

Current card: XFX ATI HD6870 1GB
Thinking about getting: SAPPHIRE DUAL-X R9 285 2GB GDDR5 OC (UEFI)

Would this be an upgrade other then getting the extra memory?

Wel, that would be a sweet upgrade. You also mau want to consider a GTX 970 though

CPU: Intel Core i5 2500K
Motherboard: Gigabyte GA-Z68A-D3-B3
Graphic Card: XFX ATI HD6870 1GB
Ram: 8GB G.Skill Ripjaw DDR3 1333Mhz
Hard Drives: 500GB Western Digital – Sata II and External 500GB
Power Supply: 500W (Can't remember make, but it not a cheap one)
Monitor: Dell 23″ S2309W
Software: Windows 7 Home Premium – 64 Bit
Mouse: Logitech G500 Gaming Mouse
Keyboard: Logitech G510 Gaming Keyboard
