Thinking of Building My First Computer

I'm thinking of building my own computer. It will be my first time doing it. I want to make a computer good for gaming. This is what i'm thinking of getting and i'm wondering will this all work together and be a good computer. I'm only looking to spend around $1,500 on this.

Pc case $110

Processor 3.33ghz $270

Ram 4gb $85

Mother board $220

Graphics card $180

Power supply 750watts $120

Vista $100

640gb hard drive $80

Cd drive $23

DVD burner $24

I'm also thinking of doing water cooling and wondering if this would be a good kit?

I think the best $150 Graphic card is 9800 GTX+ / 4850 instead.
If you using 780i Mobo, Go for 9800 GTX+. Or you can change to X48 Mobo with 4850

Why do you need a DVD Rom, Why don't just get 2 x DVD burner?

i wouldn't advise watercooling. To expensive and to work to keep it operating.
instead get high end air cooling. Like a Tuniq tower for cpu and some extra fans.

Ok so the only difference between those to processors are that one is 3.33ghz and the other is 3.16. I think the case i'm getting will have plenty of fans in it. So if i don't do water cooling will i need to get a heat sink and fan for the processor? I'm also wondering what exactly does the ghz on processors mean?

Yes, you will need a CPU HSF (Heatsink Fan). It is the clock speed of the CPU which determins the speed.

In computing, most central processing units (CPU) are labeled in terms of their clock speed expressed in megahertz or gigahertz (109 hertz). This number refers to the frequency of the CPU's master clock signal ("clock speed"). This signal is simply an electrical voltage which changes from low to high and back again at regular intervals. Hertz has become the primary unit of measurement used by the general populace to determine the speed of a CPU

You will also need thermal paste when installing the CPU. I would recomend Arctic Silver 5
