Thinking of getting a new computer..

Integrated video will not be good all around. And I am not talking like she is getting a Gaming machine. I just said that the cheapest Intel package had PCI-E. I know she doesn't need that, but unless she wants her computer to run extremely slow and be dissappointed, then she should not get integrated video.

There is no need for her to spend $100+ on a PCI-E video card, and the desktops we have at school run it fine, it may take a little longer then the high-end machines, but there not that bad.

If you were to choose between those, get the cheapest. And Geoff, we are done argueing. I'm sure she doesn't even know much about what we are argueing about anyways, LOL, no offense Lucy.

well my parents have just gotten the cheapest, i have a Samtron and my parents have a MAG vision (both non-popular brands), you dont really have to watch out for crt brands as much as lcd brands, so you can pretty much just get whatever you want.

and in case you dont know, crt are the big and heavy ones, while LCD's are the flat and light ones.

I know the difference, lol.
lol, just making sure, bestbuy usually has deals on monitors, so i would wait for a good deal to come before buying a monitor.

id go with the one from best buy, its much cheaper and theres only a slight difference in the cpu's, but everything else is the same.

It's only a $100 difference but the futureshop one has 1 gb ram and the best buy one has 512 mb ram.

Optical Drives 16X Multi-Format Double Layer DVD+/-RW

Does this mean I can only burn DVDs and not CDs?
