Thinkpad x24 cd-rom

I just bought a thinkpad x24 with the docking station. i got it at good price. just paid $75. im looking for the cd-rom that goes it the docking station. does anyone know where i can find one

Something like this should work. Being as old as the laptop is, I suspect it still using the IDE(ATAPI) style drive. The only problem would be the front cover. You might have to remove or modify it to make it fit properly. Aside from that it should slide right in.

If you want an actual drive, look on ebay. You may even be able to find the bezel and pop it onto the new drive...
 
i have an old laptop, thinkpad 570 bought it cheap on ebay i found the cd/dvd drives on ebay quite easily and quite cheap def worth a look
