Really mad.........really need your help.

I started building a system (for the first time) in the morning. Now it is midnight and I am stuck! For the past couple of hours, I've been trying to figure how to remove the BEZEL (FRONT PANEL) on this Coolermaster Centurion 5.

According to some site, I need to remove the front panel to install my floppy, cd, dvd etc. I tried to install those without removing the front panel; but did not work (I tried to force the floppy shield and left a metal piece with a screw stuck inside). The site also says that there are 4 screws that are to be removed to get the bezel out. I cannot find those DAMN 4 screws...been trying for an hour now! Its midnight now :(

Anyone got any ideas for me...........help needed.

Thanks guyz.

p.s. I checked out all the screws that are on that side:
1, There are many are circular at the front. Don't even know what screw driver to use for
them. I don't think any would work. Those aren't 4 screws...way more.
2, Some are facing the opposite direction. The tail end of the screws face me.
3, Lastly, there are 6 black plastic things. And I can see a tilted screw in one of them. The
others seem to have some metal thing in them.....but they dont' seem to be screws.

S.O.S!!

I have that case, and all I did was take off the two side panels, squeeze the black things on the backside of the front while pushing them out, then I pulled it off. Not too hard.

hey bud.........thanx for taking the time to answer.

Know what.......I tried that for my floppy drive and have a metal piece (prbly with a screw) broken and stuck inside. The rest came out. I need to remove that metal piece inorder to fit in a floppy drive.

So my question is...........when you push, pull those things out, DID YOU HAVE TO UNSCREW SOME SCREWS FIRST??

Hey......thanks so much. Your way surprises me.........but when I tried it, I found the solution.

I pushed those things from inside and with the pressure, the whole front bezel came off (not broken or anything........perfectly preserved :)

So basically, there are NO screws to be undone; but need to force the bezel out.

I have NO IDEA how you could install your stuff without removing the front panel. You need to remove front panel; then unscrew 2 screws per drive from the inside of the bezel to install a drive.

But whatever.....worked for me. Thanks.

However......there is just one question. This case has a 80mm fan in the front. If I install my 3 hard disks, this intake fan would be blocked (or looks like it). Is this very common.........need I worry about it?

Thanx.

I have 1 hard disc, so it's not really a problem for me, but with 3 I would guess that the fan blows directly on the drives, and that is the main purpose of the fan down there. I also installed a 120mm fan on the front inside the 5 1/4in drive bays, which should keep air flowing.
I'm currently modding the Centurion 5 with the side window in another post:http://www.computerforum.com/97936-plexiglass-cutting.html.

So you say, the main purpose of the front fan is to blow air in to those hard disks, so that they stay cooler. So I don't need to worry about hard disks blocking the fan.

If so, great.

Thanks.

If the only intake fan you are using is the one that came with the case, then you may want to consider buying an extra 120mm fan in the 5 1/2 in. drive bays. I did this, but seeing as I only have one thing in my 5 1/2 in. bays, and only one HDD, so I really don't need it, I'm just obsessed with fans.
Another option, if you had the centurion 5 without the window, you have the side of the casing with a duct and a vent. You can unscrew the ducting and put a fan (120 or 80mm, not sure how big it is), and then you have 2 intake (1 blocked by the HDDs, and one in the siding) and the 120mm exhaust out the back.

While we're on this case (I've built 3 with it) don't trust the cheezy no tools pci clips. Follow it up with a screw. They ( the plastic clips) don't hold very well and you can push your pci card in when hooking up your peripherals.

Yeah, I didn't do that for a while, and the GPU wasn't looking too sturdy, so I just filled all of em with screws. The PCI Fan I got doesn't work with the screwless tools, so I had to use screws anyway.
The screwless drive bays are very nice though. I don't see any reason to use screws there.
