This a good case?

The case is large enough! I looked over that model right after having ordered the Aero Cool model seen at http://www.xoxide.com/aerocool-aeroengine-2-black.html for a good savings there. The Antec doesn't allow for the two 120mm case fans mounted on the side cover of the case here while having the increase in front intake with the twin 120mm fans seen. I'm stuck with a single 140mm fan that would either be a special replacement order or going with a single 120mm for the front.

Wait.
So the case I posted cant have side cooling?

But is that case i posted good and stuff, like you said its big enough, so it can store an 8800.

Sweet And Thanks

It is big enough and will be plenty cool. Antec has some high quality cases. I am happy with my choice and have no side fan, I don't think they are necessary for a cool case. You will be happy if you purchase that case.

That model has the increase seen with the dual 120s for a front intake to blast cooler air through the case. The 120mm rear fan blows out the warm air. The side cover is a clear good for show type panel seen there. Gee? if you could use the side cover off of the Aero Cool model on that case you would have a winner with twin 120s added to that.

Yes it can have side cooling. On the 900 side panel, there is a spot for another fan. I have it, and bought another 120mm Blue LED fan for the side panel and havibng it facing out. It will run you 20 bucks or so with shipping for the extra fan. One thing to note though, you wont be able to run the top fan off of one of those plugs labeled "Fan Only" from your power supply. I tried and it didn't work. It needs a regular plug like for a HDD.

And yes, it is big enough for TWO 8800 GTS!

dude, I have a mid size tower about 5 years old and it works just spiffy with my 8800GTS.

yeah, now that's pimp'n.

they antec 900 is amazing I didnt even use the two other fan slots you can add two more but for the second one you need to sacrafice 3 hard drive bays I bielve it runs quite and has plenty of room the other one seems to have alot of good choices to(the one PC EYE posted) it depends if you want to spend the extra money and if you want a pretty large case

You dont need side cooling, in fact in someways it's worse.

The ideal cooling is to have the front fans suck cool air in, and have it exhausted from the back fans, while it cools all the devices. When you have side fans it disrupts it and the flow isnt as smooth.

BUNK! Upon first getting the case here before adding the two 120mm fans on the side cover what do you think the temps were? How do you think the boards temps dropped from 48C down to 31C? Besides simply moving some extra air around it brought other temps like memory and the video card down. The cpu temps also saw a good decrease by forcing more cooler air into the case. The warm had no other choice but to go out the rear 120mm! :D

That looks simple, simple is good. That will keep the stupid extras from scratching or breakin off.

It looks good without air vents or front intake fans? The Antec looked great here but was to come along too late for this build! If I could mount the clear side cover on the Areo Cool onto the Antec that would be "fantastic"! :D I would then two twin pairs of 120mm blue led fans bringing the cool air in for the "blue light special" there. :P
