so, im trying to pool together some money for a new computer. So i thought to myself, why dont i trade in my XBOX, PS2, and GBA and accesories for some money. I realized that i would not get what they were worth, but this is the price list given to me by Gamestop.

XBOX- 50$
3 Controllers- 5$ a peice
1 head set- 5$
Xbox Games
Halo 2 collecters ed. - 8$
Call of Duty: Finest hour 3$
Spiderman2- 3$
PGR 2- 2$
---------------------------
PS 2 - 60$
1 PS2 Controller-5$
1 PS1 Controller- .50
1 PS2 Memory Card-7$
----------------------------
GBA regular- 10$
MK deadly alliance 5$
--------------------------
Grand Total- 158.50 if my trusty calculator serves me correctly. I cant even get the RAM i want w/ this. I was deeply saddend, think i could get more at a pawn shop? What a shame, after getting these "price quotes" i will most likely just keep it all, or try ebay.

trade in value for old systems is pathetic, you will probably actually get less at a pawn shop. at a pawn shop they KNOW you NEED money just by walking in and trying to sell your personal belongings, and they get enough customers to turn down alot of offers.

i'd say keep your systems too. get a job maybe?

Dude, they rip you off so bad. I mean, 8 bucks for Halo 2 collectors?!?!?!? Better off doing e-bay.

if im not mistaken, i think gamestop will just give you store credit and not actual cash for your trade ins.

Ya, my friend did that and thats all they give you.

The only give you $50 for an xbox, but they sell it for over $100.

its not really a rip off. they are running a business... this is like buying a brand new car. the second you drive off the lot, the value drops by the thousands.

what if you never drove it off the lot? you just left it parked there forever and go look at it from time to time?:P

Then you would be spending hundreds of dollars a month to look at a car from time to time.....

lol, funny. it actually depreciates once you have ownership as well. If someone wanted to buy it (even if you never drove it 1 mile) they would be the "second owner" and value decreases.

I bought a car last night :D I'm the third owner, but the 2nd owner (A jewish man) was really good to this car. I am so excited. Details and pics later in another thread.

BACK ON TOPIC: I agree with going with eBay and sell it as a bundle. You can try all 3 systems together or each bundle seperately, should get alot more money that way.
