I got my computer via UPS the second hdd was fried and it wasnt when it was shipped but they dont cover anything but visible damage thats f***ed up i say!!

Hardware warranty should be covered for more than "visible" damage
I think you may have this incorrect, maybe ask for their actual policy on warranty for bought hardware (I would have looked it up but I'm not sure who UPS is?)

Of course UPS is not going to cover any thing other than visible damage. How would it be there fault a harddrive was bad.

Not sure but once the computer came to me my 2nd hdd didnt work i asked United Parcel Service and they dont cover anything but visual damage that is very retarded my hdd was working before it got sent to me!

UPS will not do anything for you...how could they? If they allowed people just to claim something does not work when they get...people would scam millions off of them. That would be too easy.

I could order a computer and say nothing inside works, it's not their fault. You think they will reimburse me the price of a full computer because it won't turn on when I get it? No...of course not.

The company or person you received the computer from is the one responsible...not UPS.

And you know for a fact the hard drive worked before it was shipped? How?

was the second HD included in the system? Sounds to me like it was an add on, so it should not be covered by the computer company but the HD company instead.

what do you mean by fried? Is there some obvious signs of mishandling or does the hard drive simply not work?

If everything is in visually good condition then its like the other poster said, how do you know it wasnt broken prior to shipping?

Use some grammar like commas and periods to separate your points. At first I thought you were saying that the hard drive is bad and you knew it wasn't because of the shipping

again, why should UPS cover that? and like someones else said, how do you know the hard drive worked before? Did you buy it used? did the guy say it worked? Maybe he lied.

These are my questions, as well.

heres what you do, grab the hdd, then throw it at your driveway, or any other concrete surface. it now has visible damage, problem solved.

Isn't that fraud?
Some countries feel fraud is worse than murder, not sure why but thats our society

Anyway since learning that UPS is some mail company, as stated earlier they can't possible insure against faulty electronics with no seen physical damage to anything. This is the fault of where it came from, not in transit, and whoever sent it should always have insurance for that

I'm sure everone else knew what UPS was, my first thought was Uninteruptable Power Supply, why on earth would they use that acronmyn, the whole world is muddled up.

UPS is actual USPS (United States Postal Service (duh)) but people say UPS because it's shorter.

Major burn on that one.

Thats why you let us americans tell you what is what over here. And we'll let overseas people tell us what is what over there.

Ok i had the hdd since the computer was built. Not sure on what the specs where i tore it down. I lived in Florida for 2 years and moved to Maine. I used my computer the day i took an airplane and then had it sent up the next day. So it took 2-3 days to get to me maybe a day or 2 more. I opened it and my hdd just wasnt working. It was working the day i left so it makes no sense for it to crash. I dropped it like 3 years ago but i doubt that if it was working after the drop that it had an affect. It did not appear to have any mishandling issues. But we all know a little static electricity can fry a whole damn computer in no time. How do i know that static electricity wasnt made. Plus it was packed with packing peanuts. Damn i hate those things they over pack the box with them and they get everywhere!

I work for UPS (United Parcel Service) loading the packages onto the trucks. UPS is definately a privately owned but publicly traded company. USPS (United States Postal Service) is related to the government but I believe they manage their own finances. USPS is your basic mail service and UPS tends to handles more larger packages or "parcels". I think the smallest letters that we handle at UPS is the large envelopes, I dont think we handle any business size letters.
