This is why I love linux-> Windows Gaming VM!

I guess I'm just questioning why you would use Linux when your sole use is to run a Windows VM to play games. I completely understand if you use Linux for other things, but it didn't sound like the OP did that.

I do exactly that. I do all my day to day stuff on linux. I only use windows when I'm playing a game, or working on code that I need to check compatibility with on windows. My actual setup consist of two monitors; one always has fedora up and the other windows. Whenever I need to use windows I just click into the VM and use it.
 
Small update; I recently got this working on Linux Mint 14 as well. I much prefer something Debian based over something Red Hat based, so I'm happier with Mint.
