It'll still future-proof, though. I would go either way. It depends if you want the best upgradeability as of now, or if you want to hope that AMD will keep AM3 backwards-compatibility going. I would go with the i7, personally. It depends what mood I'm in, though. Sometimes I'll be in an anti-AMD mood, and sometimes I won't.The I7 is overkill for what you need.
Bulldozer is AMD's new CPU design that they're going to launch in 2011. Some people believe that it'll be compatible with current AM3 boards (the motherboards that support the Phenom II x6). We're saying that it might not really be fully compatible, though, so just go with the i7.whats bulldozer?
