tl;dr is this^ a Core architecture or Netburst?

I'm looking for a budgety-budget processor for low-end build. No overclocking, no games, no Vista. This is just for MS word and PowerPoint, Firefox, and apparently some sort of online class application. And a learn to type program.

Is that Celeron there a Core architecture or Netburst? It's a single core, but its TDP is 35W, and it's a Conroe.

I'm deciding between this or a Pentium Dual Core E21XX.. which is about 20 dollars more and I can't get it locally, plus its TDP is 65W. But it's faster, obviously, and much better of the Celeron is a Netburst jigger.

Get E1200 $59
Celeron Dual-core.

I agree, I think I'll force myself to be patient and order something. I have a new question:

That Celeron DC is $59. On this page: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produ...2+50001157+40000343+1050729314&name=Dual-Core

are Pentium Dual-Cores, and both the E2140 and E2160 are the same price, $74, 15 dollars more. Is there any reason they're the same price? They seem exactly the same except the E2160 has a higher clock.

And is there any difference between the E2140 and the Celeron DC other than the L2 cache?
