Those mini ATX cases?

They won't get that hot if you restrict the content to products which emit low amounts of heat, which sometimes means slower..

A good case and setup would be fine, you wouldn't have to worry if you went about it right..
 
ya im jsut wondering , bc ive seen some cheap ones and i thougth hey its a space saver , im just goin to build it for her to play low graphic games, word processing, internet and ya . bc i was thinking if its soo small if might creat too much heat
 
its not just about how cramped up everything is putted inside the case. If you pick a case wich allows enough cool air to be pulled into the case to the heatsinks, and also keep a good way for the hot air to 'escape' from the case without beeing pushed through another heatsink again, you'll be just fine ;)

besides that, the only CPU's and grafic's cards that produce really much heat are (of the latest generation of CPU's ofcourse) the high end models, wich are only usefull if you actually use their power. (gaming or other heavy programs)
so unless your girlfriend is into gaming ( :o ) a e6300/e6400 with a Geforce 7600 (or even a 7300, wich has passive cooler versions, making it quite quiet)
and you'd be just peachy ^_^

my point? I dont assume you'd buy your girlfriend a faster pc than you have yourself :P (its an ego thing i gues :D ) assuming that, you wond have any heat issues. (unless you pick one high end grafic's card from the previous generations, 6800GT/ULTRA or 7800GTX etc, wich isnt really neccecairy :) )

I've got a similar case to that and mine has never got heated up so far. I just make sure it can get enough air etc and it stays cool.
 
Also take a look at the Q-pack, which i personally like better, as it has a handle bar, and instead of using multiple small fans, it utilizes a 120mm rear fan.
 
hahaha no , im jsut building her one so she can just use the internet, word processing and few low graphic games, im giving her my 256 mb video card, i jsut replaced it for a new 512 mgb one ahaahha, and naww its not goin to be faster than mine , shes not an intense gamer like me lol ,................ i kidna wish though hahaha :D
