Thought(s) about Oblivion

I just bought Oblivion yesterday and I would have to say I was extremely disappointed.

The game was not worth $50 to me. All the reviews say the graphics are "The Best!".... And people were saying it was making thier 7900gt's lag.

Ok... Just that alone sounds cool??? No... My system runs it full settings with AA full... 7900gt lag? wtf.. Must be a crappy card if that is true.

The game play seems really awesome the environmental graphics were awesome. The NPCs just looked a little wierd to me.

To sum it all up, I don't think its worth $50 when you can buy morrowind for $10... And it isn't that much diffrent. (Yes, I know... There is diffrences like mounts and so forth but,... still like morrowind.)

What do you all think about Oblivion??

your GFX card should run it at full graphics, are you not pleased you can?
I think morrowind is a great game and id say overall oblivion was better there are just some things that annoy me like the menus and the map. I think if you get into oblivion you will like it more (try the arena for low level ). You have only had it a day!

That is what I'm hoping. If I play it some more I may beable to get into but, it seems too alike morrowind other than a little graphics update and physics engine. (I liked morrowind though.)

I was just hoping it would be alot diffrent from where thier website said they started from scratch.. and yes, I agree with you the menus are extremely annoying.

i totaly agree, i thought it was a waste of money... it just seemed to boring. saying that im more into online rpg's like tibia or world of warcraft so maybe its just me

Update- I started playing the game more and it's actually really cool but, still morrowind like.

I like the horses in Oblivion though.

What is everyone elses thoughts?

see i said you would like it. I hate the fact that you get caught for stealing by guards and members of your guilds easier, you cant realy steal from your guild members without being caught in the end. There is a mod on the elder scrolls files that makes the menus and the UI a little bit better.
