Thoughts on my Choices for a New Comp

Ok, I went to directron.com and picked out some parts. Can someone tell me if all these parts will be compatible with one another? Do I have everything I needed? What should I replace? How could I get a lower price to about, say 1200 (at 1512 now)?

If you wait a little longer the radeon x800Xl should comes out which is better then the the x800 pro and will be cheaper. If you need it now I would consider the geforce 6800 GT over the x800 pro. Also since you getting a SLI mouthboard if you had a 6800 GT you could add a secound one later.

Hmm well I'm a noobie so I dono squat about ur parts the only comment that I have for you is about your case. I thought you might like to hear my opinion and it is up to you wether you want to listin to my advice or not. One thing I noticed was that your case was quite ugly and I found a case that is a good price and case. (I own it)

Alright I think its time for some new specs. Can someone help me choose a good gaming pc for about $1300 from newegg? Need great video card and would like at least 100 gb HD. Need DVD-RW Drive, 1 gb ram, and would like an AMD processor of at least 3500 (Free HL2 baby!). Thanks.

By not getting a stupidly overcharged mobo and videocard. The memory doesnt help either but thats actually useful

That's newcastle right? Try and get Winchester (revision E) if you can.

If you need it now I would consider the geforce 6800 GT over the x800 pro

Hands down for the 6800GT regardless but they are a bit harder to find as PCIe

uhh...sure. you have a right to disagree and hold an opinion, but it's certainly not a FACT that only 12yr. olds like lights in there cases and creative bezels and window designs. if you can't afford a car then pimp out something else man! (<---that's me)

Cooling: No idea, someone please recommend me something
Video Card: x800 XT (Someone please tell me which of the x800 xt's to get, I have no idea what the diff. between the cards are?)
Drives: Basic Sony DVD-Rom
DVD-RW dual layer
Case: Need recommendations that would fit all of this.
