Thoughts on these parts

I'm upgrading the Graphics card and PSU in my Dell Studio XPS 8100 and wanted to know if these would be a wise choice.

Get a Seasonic PSU to protect your investment (video card) mate.

Don't scrimp on PSUs when it comes to high dollar components.

Corsair psu's are just fine, nothing wrong with them. However, I would get the cx600 if you are going to be using the gtx 660.

Seasonic is made with better parts and only $5 more than the Corsair in his case. Also it has a critical part that the Corsair don't have.

By the way, some of the Corsairs are made by Seasonic but none of the CX series.

The CX series from Corsair are fine. Made be Channel Well. The S12II models from Seasonic are good units too. But a older design. Execpt the CX series, which are all CW units now, all other models from corsair are made be either CW or Seasonic. The i models are made by Flextronics.

Unless you are doing anything which involves CUDA (such as video and photo editing), I'd probably recommend you go for a Radeon HD 7870 instead of the GTX 660. Better performance.
