Thoughts on..

Yes it will fit and it's a fantastic card. I'd be more concerned with whether or not your power supply can run it than whether it'll fit in your case or not.

Another bonus with that card is that you have a pretty good chance of unlocking it into a 6970 with a BIOS switch. They're phasing out the ones that could be swapped, but I'm sure they'll be around for a little while left in stock. Even if it can't there's a back-up BIOS switch on the card, makes it pretty risk free to try it. Anyway, it's a great card. You won't be disappointed with it.

Ok, let me explain. The 6950 and 6970 are physically the same card. The difference being that some of the shaders are locked by the BIOS on the 6950. This means that you can tell your 6950 that it's a 6970 by putting a 6970 BIOS on it and it will start to behave like one, with the unlocked shaders and all. The instance of someone getting black dots on their screen is called artifacting, and it means that the graphics card, for whatever reason is unstable. Should this happen to you then there is a switch on the card itself that reverts the card's BIOS to default. The process used to be basically a guarantee but it seems like they're starting to use lower bin cards that aren't stable at 6970 levels. In the unlikely case that this is the case, simply flick the switch and return the BIOS to stock. I'm not saying it's a sure thing, but if it were me, I'd at least give it a try. Its essentially risk free. :)

Even without the unlock though, it is still a pretty powerful card, so you'll be happy one way or the other.

what 650 are you thinking? if you get one that can supply a steady amount of power at 650w that's fine, but honestly I would go up to at least 700w.

650w is plenty is you don't plan on an xFire configuration down the line. The 1Gb has no chance to unlock to a 6970 and takes a small hit in performance at high resolution, but other than that the cards are identical. If you have no intention of even trying to unlock it then its probably best to save yourself the money.
