Our computer has been through sytem restore 5 times, My dad thinks its now has 5 seperate partitions, Is there any truth in this?
I'll run defraggler on it now but whats the best way to give it a good clean up?
That will erase your hard drive completely then you can reinstall Windows.
Even though it's not needed in all cases, DBAN will restore everything on the hard drive to a 0 just as it came from the factory, you might see a small performance increase.
Dban is good. But he said he had 5 partitions? Why would you run any partitions on a drive? the odds are the partition will go bad BEFORE the drive dies. Dban and create one partition for the WHOLE drive. Then reload, and restore.
