Three Question I need help

Hi, I have a fairly new Dell Dimension Desktop. I used Yahoo SBC DSL on it for a few month. Due to some annoying spyware, I did a clean install of Windows (XP).

I deleted all the previous partitions and made a brand new one with 50000M

Now I'm trying to install Yahoo DSL again. But the system asks for the Ethernet Adaptor Card. It says I need to open up my computer case to install that.

Question 1: Since I was already using Yahoo DSL before, why do I need to install the Ethernet Adaptor Card since I already had it before?

Question 2: If I do need to open my computer and reinstall the card, how do I open up my computer? (It's a black Dell desktop)

Question 3: After I did the clean install, I installed this game I borrowed from a friend, Grand Theft Auto. I tried to play it and it says it can't find enough "video memory". This is hard to believe since the game is couple of years old and my computer can handle even demanding games like Doom 3 (before I did the clean install). Is there something that needs to be set up? What's wrong?

Thanks

Make sure you got the drivers installed correctly for the card before you try and use it. WinXP is pretty good with most ethernet drivers but sometimes you need to install the ones that came with the card.

you're not physically installing the adapter... you're just installing the drivers for it so xp knows how to interact with the network card

you prolly dont have to... but either very carefully or in a state of rage :d
