Thumbnails on video files

if your using vista try this

Click the "Start" button. Right click on "Computer," and click "Properties."

Click the "Advanced system settings" link.

Click the "Advanced" tab, then click the "Settings" button under "Performance."

Place a check in the box labeled "Show thumbnails instead of icons." Click "OK" to close each open window. Open a window in a folder where you would expect to see thumbnail icons. If the thumbnails are present, stop here. If not, continue.

Click the "Start" button, then click "Computer."

Click the "Organize" button, then click "Folder and Search Options."

Confirm that the box labeled "Always show icons, never thumbnails" is not checked. If it is checked, remove the check and click "OK." Open a window in a folder where you would expect to see thumbnail icons. If the thumbnails are present, stop here. If not, continue.

Hit the Windows logo and "R" keys on the keyboard simultaneously, and type "cleanmgr" into the box that appears. Hit "Enter." This launches the disk cleanup utility.

Remove the check from every box shown except for the one next to "Thumbnails." Click "OK," then click "Delete Files." This deletes the thumbnail cache, forcing Windows to rescan the pictures in each image folder and create new thumbnail icons the next time you open it. This does not damage or change your pictures in any way. Thumbnail icons should now display correctly.

Thanks! I did those 3 options that you gave me, but still the MPEG video is not showing up as a picture thumbnail. My pictures give me a picture thumbnail of what the file looks like, but not for the videos.

I think codec is the problem. Should I install DivX or XviD codec?
