I'm not looking for sympathy either. I've dealt/dealing with my problems with my family, and no offence, but I don't need people on a forum to help me. You made a judgement that I was using "daddys money" to buy my components. I just set you straight by telling you my Father passed away.

no actually im not when AMD comes out with something it Will be a level playing field and then you can pick and compare


why would it matter that your father died.... "daddys money" is referring the the bread winner of the family and is a saying. i could care less if your father really died. the point was you are so willing to throw big money on new technology. and put people down who choose a more proven computer chip.

No, I buy wisely. Conroe has proven that it's the best CPU out there at the minute. And, just to make sure, I'm not even going to buy it straight away. I'm waiting a few weeks to see what other people have to say about it (despite all the reviews currently out there).

Thats a good idea. It's best to wait for at least one new revision before buying a new CPU, that way they get all the bugs worked out.
 
im not sure pro. since they sell for such low prices its proably hard to buy in bulk (which they do) and then they cant get a good price right now... maybe a couple weeks to a month.... their amd prices are still high. the 4800+ is still $499 so i dont know whats up with that

I bet that all the other companies pre-ordered them before Newegg did, so now they don't have any more to sell to resellers such as Newegg. Which would explain why every site that sells them are sold old and backordered, and why ebay is selling a $316 E6600 for over $500.
