TightVNC?

I used to use TightVNC all the time. Again the need for a VNC server has arisen, and I love this because it was a really basic one. But chrome insists it is malware, and the internet seems to agree. Is that just when bundled with other stuff?

Or is just a basic install now bad because it is packaged with other stuff? Confused as to what changed.

At my work, we use VNC (TightVNC and UltraVNC) with our two biggest clients with no complaints from the businesses, or the users we support. It's definitely not malware, for a home user it might be a PUP (potentially unwanted program), but in your case, definitely not.

Biggest issue you might have with VNC is when relying on hostnames, and the DNS is all screwy, or two machines are reporting the same IP address from ping. Aside from other screen refresh issues.

But yeah, VNC is an awesome program to have.
