Time for a new PC...

I think I'm going to be building a new PC in the next couple days. Heck I might go ahead and order tonight! But before doing so, I figured I'd ask a few people to check over my build just to be sure I didn't screw anything up...

The purpose of this build is mostly to surf the net, watch videos, edit photos, edit videos, virtual machines... I do little to no gaming, but I do want middle to low range capabilities. In reality I really don't need a new computer, but as soon as I try to do 720p editing on this machine it just completely bogs down.

I'd also like this system to be relatively cool and quiet. Mine now is rather noisy and the PSU seems to pump out more heat than I'd like...

I'll probably get some decent power supply. Up for suggestions. I've also considered getting a cheaper one and reusing the one from my old system in this one. I forget exactly what it is, but it was a very high end 550 watt...something like $80 when I got it.

Oh yeah... Price is currently about $900. I'd like to stay below $1000, but the cheaper the better...

This is a good mobo also, just depends if you prefer msi to other brands:

$5 more for a faster caviar black hard drive:

Or you could get a caviar green(low power/noise drive) at 750gb for same price as drive currently in your list:

A higher resolution display would help out a bit when editing 720p video:

As far as power supplies...should check which one your currently have, since it was a higher end 550 watt it should be fine to power a rig like this.

If your looking for quiet... id recommend an aftermarket cpu cooler like this:

Thanks for the suggestions... I made a couple changes. However, I think I'm going to push this build off a little bit. I've got a road trip coming up and starting thinking about everything that's already on my credit card. I'd rather not reach my limit while I'm places where I couldn't access my money :P

However, I do think I'll build a computer soon... I have been thinking about it for a while now and could really use the update for the wedding video I'll be recording soon (two cameras recording at 1080p or 720p...)
