Time for upgrades?

I got this peformance test from windows 7. I am looking on what i will need to upgrade in the near future. I would be using the desktop for running 2D and 3D design programs. Also running stuff like Microsoft word ,Adobe , e-mail, and a few open tabs in the backround.

:P :D Thanks for your oppinions:D I recently built the computer with help help from the forum and members. Thanks again for the help! Things kinda seem like they want to go slow sometimes and was wanting to fix that. I have followed the links here and on You Tube of items to adjust to speed up windows 7. I guess the slowness is coming from my internet connection and will start loooking into that. Would more RAM and Hard Drive memory help? Any good links on tuneing to get the numbers of the windows test to 7.9:D. Like I said I will be having a couple big programs open at the same time. Thanks.

When you have those big programs open at the same time go to the task manager and see how much ram you are using and how much is left. That would give you an idea if you needed another 2gig stick or not. It might just be that you have spyware or things running in the background that don't need to be running.

I guess I am using half of the memory? Am I reading the info correctly?

The bottom pic is not so clear , CPU is at 10%, and memory is at 2.08 GB

My only upgrade recommendation for now would be either to get another of the same HDD you have and do Raid 0,Or if you have cash to splash get yourself an SSD Drive.....With the SSD drive you will unleash the true performance of your pc.

Agreed, that, if any, would be the only worthy upgrade. 7 will manage the RAM. You may see more or less usage at a given time depending on what your doing. If it deems it needs more reserve than what it has, it will page some to the disk.
