i just got an IDE hard drive, and now i can oc my cpu alot more, so i got mine to 260Mhz FSB (cpu speed from 1.6 to 2.04), but i always got a blue screen of death message once i logged it, so i downclocked it to 2Ghz, and it has worked fine so far, but my question is, do you think i need to up the voltage a little more so i can oc some more? I have an AMD Sempron 2800+ s754

well i wouldnt if i were u. remeber, the true killer of a cpu is voltage rather than heat. but... if u willing to take a risk.. then go for it.

i believe its at 2.55 now, i never upped it. im just talking about upping it about .05 volts.

true killer long term

Thats a good oc so far, without any vcore notches. You should certainly tipp it up one or two pegs at 0.05 each time

with my sata drive i was only able to get it up to 1.78, so this is a real improvement for me. Now its time to OC my gfx card. :)

Wether you use to sata or ide wont effect your cpu oc'ability unless your controller is onboard and throws a wobbler :)

ya, its onboard.

the mobo manual said that the DRAM voltage was that of my cpu, i dont know why cause cpu-z and bios tell me that its running around 1.44v, and the only voltages that i can change are the DRAM and AGP. Is there any program i can use from windows that will do it?
